Visiting professor while looking for lodging in L.A.’s Chinatown, Pigai was allegedly held at gunpoint by a robber wearing a black mask. Using martial arts, he disarmed the robber and fled. But the robber pursued and held him at gunpoint again when Pigai stopped to look at his phone to check for injuries.

Three male students and a female student were traveling on a train Wednesday from Olney, a neighborhood in North Philadelphia, when they were attacked by four Black girls between 13-16 years old, said Thomas Nestel, police chief for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA).

ABC7 News agreed not to use 84-year old Marc’s last name out of respect for his privacy. He says he was at the Union Bank ATM along California Street before noon on Monday.
Marc says suddenly out of nowhere he heard a man yell at him, “Give me money! Give me your money! Give me money!”
In an effort to stay safe, Marc gestures to the small black messenger-style bag near his waist and demonstrates how he reached down to get some cash for the man.
Before he could retrieve any bills, he says the man hit him swiftly and firmly with a glass bottle twice.

Asian delivery man took a break from delivery and brought food to his family. .
3 Men were waiting for him outside and 2 were pointing guns at the Asian delivery man. Police say the armed men approached the victim and demanded money. The victim then reportedly told the suspects the money was in his car. While the suspects were looking through the victim’s car for cash, he pulled out his gun and fired, according to police. This was caught on camera and their were witnesses.

She was standing on the edge of the B, D, F, M platform when a stranger suddenly came up behind her and put her in a headlock — covering her nose, mouth and eyes, “to make sure I couldn’t make any noise.” “He dragged me where nobody could see … Beat me … Took my purse,” Jirajariyawetch said, her voice trembling.
Surveillance footage showed Jirajariyawetch’s attacker yanking the woman back several feet before throwing her to the ground and punching her multiple times. While she was down, the mugger allegedly touched the woman’s private parts and bolted with her purse, police said.

A man described as a White male with short dark blonde hair in his late 30s or early to mid 40’s and weighing up to 200 pounds assaulted the couple as they walked their dog.
The victims say the man yelled a racial slur at the man. He then went after the woman when she pulled out her phone to call police. Several people came out of a nearby store heard the commotion and came out to assist the couple. The suspect tried to run away, but the Asian male ran after him. Another confrontation occurred before the suspect ultimately escaped.

– Surveillance footage shows the first suspect bashing the victim’s head from behind with a brick. The victim immediately lost balance and fell to the ground, reportedly losing consciousness.
-The second suspect kicked the victim in the face.

GuiYing Ma from China, was sweeping the sidewalk of an empty property in Jackson Heights. A man struck the 61-year-old woman in the head with a large rock.
“She has serious brain bleeding and needs surgery to open the skull,drain the fluid, and release the pressure,” said Ma on Go Fund Me. “Her life is still in danger. She doesn’t have medical insurance and lost jobs after pandemic.” She is in a coma.

Kevin Nishita shot dead while protecting Kron-TV crew covering smash-and-grab theft in California city. The news crew was covering a recent robbery where a group of thieves broke in and stole from a clothing store. He was also police man.

-Liu, who had jogged the same route multiple times before, was killed instantly, according to Pasadena police. She reportedly sustained significant head trauma.
-The driver was believed to be driving over the 30 mph speed limit when they struck Liu. Police are currently determining whether the incident involved criminal negligence, which would see the case forwarded to the district attorney.
-The driver, a 20-year-old Pasadena man, was not arrested or cited with the investigation ongoing, Russo said.
